Group Clinic Based Programmes

Group Clinic based ABA programmes are ideal for early years behaviour intervention to achieve faster results in the children’s behaviour, communication, generalisation Communication skills, Joint attention and Early Cognitive skills fine and gross motor skills and peer imitation.. It is the most structured and efficient method to teach them whatever is needed in order to successfully integrate them back into their natural environment.
Group programmes are affordable for families that cannot afford 1:1 therapy sessions.

 

Group Clinic Based Programme

  • ABA Group Clinic programme in 2:4 setting

The clinic based group program is designed for one up to three years old children with autism or related developmental disorder (or suspicion).  Applied Behaviour Analysis principles are used to clinic based autism group therapyteach skills within all the areas of development and to reduce teaching barriers. The group sessions, led by 2 highly clinic trained therapists for 4 children, and they are split into 15 minutes periods in which each child alternates from 1:1 (one to one) to a small group setting.

According to a first skill assessment performed for each child prior to integration to the group, individualised teaching targets will be determined for the individual and the small group intervention.

Individual sessions aim to develop;

  • Communication skills,
  • Joint attention and
  • Early Cognitive skills.

The small group session focusses on;

  • early group skills and routines,
  • play skills,
  • social skills (including joint attention),
  • fine and gross motor skills and
  • peer imitation.

 

The programme is designed especially for young children, taking under consideration their strengths and weaknesses. Blooming Tree ABA Clinic uses techniques derived from Applied Behaviour Analysis research such as:

  • Early Start Denver Model (ESDM)
  • Verbal Behaviour (VB),
  • Functional Communication Training (FCT),
  • Pivotal Response Training (PRT),
  • Natural Environment Teaching (NET) and
  • Functional Behaviour Assessment
  • Early years foundation stage (EYFS)
  • Adapted small group teaching
  • Individualised program

 

This service will include:

  • A highly experienced ABA Consultant/Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) who assess, develops and oversees the child’s programme and progress
  • At least 2 tutors who are responsible for the daily implementation of the group programme. The tutors are highly clinical trained, however weekly supervision as well as further training will be also provided, in order for them to be able to adapt their experience and knowledge to individual and group children’s therapy for better results.
  • Baseline assessment and on-going assessments (using well researched tools like ESDM and VB-Mapp) to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the child and to ensure steady progress.
  • Intensive 1 to 1 therapy for half of the session, and small group therapy, at the Blooming Tree clinic.
  • SLT and OT support whose recommendations will be implemented within the ABA programme to develop an even more comprehensive curriculum.

 

The clinic based group programme is available as

-Half-time programme – 15 hours/week in the clinic (morning or afternoon sessions, 5 days a week)
